Red ArrowsYes folks on the 9th Augusat 2009 the world famous Red Arrows will be taking to the skys of Blackpool, high above the beach, hotels and tower they will fyl to impress.

The Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world as ambassadors for both the Royal Air Force and the United Kingdom. Since the Team was officially formed in 1965, the Red Arrows have completed over 4,000 displays in 53 countries.

New BlackpoolThe Masterplan aims to transform the resort into a world class 21st century visitor destination that will provide a sustainable year round economy for all those living and working in Blackpool. The Masterplan is a 15-year regeneration plan that focuses on the resort core: an area 5km long and 1km deep. It aims to develop Blackpool into a collection of memorable neighbourhoods, distinguished by individual assets in the form of attractions, landmarks, and natural public spaces.

Classic Cars, Buses, Coaches and Commercial Vehicles will be on display on New South Promenade from Starr Gate to Pleasure Beach South. over 150 classic Minis on charity road run to the event and displayed at South Pier Headland (from 1230)

Blackpool FireworksFirework companies from all over the worls will be here again this year in Blackpool to stage a pyrotechnical display that will thrill and amaze all ages.

During last years shows more than a quarter of a million spectators watched as the skys above Blackpool hotels, famous attractions and Blackpool Tower fill with dazzling colours and sonic bangs from thousands of pounds worth of firewrks, launched from the north pier.
